Compassion and burnout syndrome in medical students from the Colombian Caribbean coast

Introduction Compassion is expected to be a characteristic present in medical students, since it key element subsequent professional practice (Blanco et al., 2021). However, during the degree, students go through various demands that can generate burnout syndrome (Amor 2020) and as consequence decrease compassion. In this sense, important provide empirical evidence on possible relationship between these two constructs, order support allows implementation of mental health promotion strategies. Objectives Analyze compassion students. Methods This study was done cross-sectional correlational scope 250 The Scales developed by Gilbert (Gilbert 2017) were used; they assess three general factors (Self-compassion, for others, from others), study, we used only self-compassion others scales.
